Venue
The conference will take place in Palazzo Corigliano, Piazza San Domenico Maggiore 12, Napoli.
Palazzo Corigliano is located in the historical centre of Naples: if you are staying in the centre, then the best option is to move around on foot. Our advice is to find accommodation in the centre.
If you are not staying in the city center, the closest metro stations to Palazzo Corigliano are: Università (M1), Piazza Cavour (M2) and Montesando (M2). The M1 and M2 lines are run by two different companies: M1 line tickets cannot be used to access the M2 line and vice versa.
Travel Information
The best way to get to Naples is by plane to Napoli Capodichino or by train to Napoli Centrale.
If you arrive by plane in Napoli Capodichino Airport, you can take either a taxi or a bus (Alibus).
If you take a taxi and you are going straight to Palazzo Corigliano or if you are staying in the city center, ask for the prefixed rate, which is valid 24/7. Please, ask the taxi driver to stick to it before you enter the cab. You will find the prices and all the destinations covered by the prefixed rate on the back seat of the vehicle.
The Alibus leaves from the airport every 20-30 minutes and takes you to the city center (the ticket costs 5 EUR and can be purchased on board). You can consult the timetable here: https://www.anm.it/images/stories/da_aeroporto_5_22.pdf
If your plane lands in Rome (Fiumicino or Ciampino), the best way to reach Naples is by train. Trains to Napoli Centrale depart from Roma Termini Central Station. Frecciarossa and Italo trains are the fastest (1h10 minutes). We advise you to book your train tickets in advance (visit trenitalia.com for high-speed and inter-regional trains or italotreno.it for high-speed trains only). Please, note that you also need to purchase a ticket from the airport to the train station (Leonardo Express train from Roma Fiumicino or any bus/shuttle that goes to the central station from Ciampino).
If you arrive in Napoli Central Station and you are staying in the city center, you can either walk (20 minutes) or take a taxi (fixed rates apply from there too). If you are going straight to Palazzo Corigliano, you can also take the metro M1 to Università (see above) and then walk from there.
Accommodation
Naples welcomes visitors all year around. You will not have any problems in finding the right accommodation for you on regular online websites like booking.com or airbnb.com
Hotels and B&B close to Via Partenope are usually more expensive than those located in the city historic center (Piazza Dante, Piazza del Gesù Nuovo, Piazza San Domenico, etc.)
The average price for 1 night in a hotel or B&B is 60 EUR, but cheaper options are also available.
We advice you to book your room in advance.
